Order Settings
AIQ Ecommerce supports stores of all sizes, from small SSOs to large MSOs. Use the order setting options to customize how AIQ Ecommerce works for you.
Navigate to Store > Settings > Orders
Reply-To Email Address
Customize which email you want customers to see as the reply-to on order emails that are sent.
Order Status
Auto Confirm Orders
By default, new orders go into the Pending status and must be manually Confirmed. If you're using a POS integration (Dutchie POS, Flowhub, etc.), orders will only be pushed to your POS once Confirmed.
If you don't want to manually confirm every order, enable Auto Confirm Orders β orders will skip Pending and go directly to Confirmed.
β
Sub Statuses
You can set custom sub statuses for orders. This is useful if your orders go through additional steps. For example, some stores use a "Queued" sub status to indicate an order has been queued before fulfillment.
Default Sub Status
If you use Sub Statuses, you can specify a default that AIQ Ecommerce will automatically apply to new orders.
Order Status Reference
Status | Description |
Pending | We do not recommend using this status. Use if you need to check the order before Confirming (e.g. verify delivery address, check inventory). At this status: you can still edit products, inventory is pulled, and prepayments are charged. |
Confirmed | At this status: you can no longer edit products, orders are pushed to your POS and integrations (e.g. Onfleet), and Order SMS & Email are sent. |
Checked In | Use for In Store pickups to let fulfillment know the order is ready. For Curbside and Drive Through, customers can check themselves in. |
Ready for Pickup | Use post-fulfillment to indicate the order is ready for the customer. |
Closed | Some POS integrations will automatically close orders in AIQ Ecommerce if they are closed in your POS. |
Cancelled | Can be updated by the customer or store. Cancelled orders will only sync with AIQ Ecommerce if cancelled through the POS. |
Customer Order Notifications
Both Email and SMS Order Notifications are included free with all AIQ Ecom plans.
Send Customer Order Email Notifications
By default, AIQ Ecommerce sends customers an email notification when their order is confirmed.
π¨ Important: Some U.S. states don't allow these notifications, so you can disable them.
Send Customer Order SMS Notifications
By default, AIQ Ecommerce sends customers an SMS notification when their order is confirmed.
π¨ Important: Some U.S. states don't allow these notifications, so you can disable them.
Minimum Age
Set the minimum age a customer must be to place an order (e.g. 18 or 21). All orders require a birthday entry, so AIQ Ecommerce will use this to prevent underage customers from ordering.
You can also optionally toggle on a Menu Age Gate.
Checkout
Enable or disable which fields appear at online checkout, including:
Date of Birth
State of Residence
Medical ID Number or Expiration (only shows for Medical stores in certain industries)
Driver's License upload (image) β Applicable to Delivery orders ONLY. Check your local rules and regulations to see if you need to collect an ID image before delivery.
Government ID and Expiration β if enabled, will save to the user's account and show in order details.
For kiosk checkout fields, see Kiosk.
Click-Wrap Terms
To require customers to check a box at checkout acknowledging specific terms, navigate to Store Settings > Orders > Checkout and select "Require customer to consent to terms at checkout", then input your terms.
Show Pay After Order
If enabled, a "Pay now with bank" button will appear to customers on the order confirmation page and email, encouraging prepay post-ordering.
βΉοΈ Note: This setting only applies to Aeropay.
Purchase Window
Control how many days in advance customers can place orders. Most stores set this to 1 or 2 days.
Tipping
See Tipping for setup instructions and the Integration Grid to see which integrations support tipping.
After Hours Ordering
Auto Print
If you're using AIQ Ecommerce's cloud printer, enable this to automatically print orders and configure which status triggers printing. See Printer for more information.
Discount Stacking
Stacking controls how discounts and offers are applied together in the cart. AIQ Ecommerce supports three options: No Stacking, No Double Stacking, and Stacking. Set in Store Settings > Orders. For more information, see Discount Stacking.
Order Type Modal/Popup
When multiple Order Types are enabled, a modal is shown by default to select an order type (and input delivery address if Delivery is one of the options). You can optionally disable this.
βΉοΈ Note: For stores that offer Delivery, we suggest keeping this on. The customer experience may change depending on whether they are within a delivery zone, and AIQ Ecommerce will redirect users to the correct store if their address falls within another store's delivery zone.
