Navigating the Chat Widget

This article explains how to open and use the chat widget across the AIQ.com, AIQ Help Center, AIQ Ecommerce, and AIQ dashboard.

Open the Chat Widget

The chat widget can be accessed from multiple AIQ pages.

To open the chat widget, select this icon in the bottom right of the screen

Note: The chat experience varies by location: in AIQ Ecommerce and AIQ Dashboard it opens directly in the widget, while in the Help Center and AIQ.com it opens to a home screen where users can start a message and access additional resources.

When you open the chat widget you’ll first see the widget home screen.

To continue, select Send us a message to start a new conversation or select from your recent messages to continue.

You will also see:

From there, you’ll be guided based on whether you need Sales or Support.

  • If you need Sales, you can continue in the widget.

  • If you need Support, you’ll be directed to continue through the support chat widget in your AIQ account dashboard in AIQ Ecommerce or AIQ Dashboard.


Ecommerce and Product

When opening the widget in AIQ Ecommerce or AIQ Dashboard the initial chat thread will be handled by Astro :astro-wave-1: AIQ's AI Agent.

Continue the Conversation

Once the chat has opened, select the appropriate details about the issue you need help with, then tell Astro more about the issue you're having.

Helpful details may include:

  • A short description of the issue

  • Relevant account or feature details

  • Any error messages

  • Examples or screenshots, if available

  • Providing clear details in your first message can help speed up resolution.

Astro helps with common questions and gathers information about the issue.

If Astro is unable to assist, the conversation will be escalated to our Support team.

View Messages and Replies

After you send a message, replies will appear in the chat thread.

You can return to the widget at any time to review ongoing conversations and check for updates.


Help Docs in AIQ Ecommerce and AIQ Dashboard

In AIQ Ecommerce and AIQ Dashboard, the chat widget also includes a Help section where you can search AIQ Help Center articles in the widget without leaving your account.

Use the Help section to find setup steps, feature guidance, and troubleshooting articles while working in the platform.

If you still need help after searching, you can return to the chat and continue with Astro. If Astro is unable to assist, the conversation will be escalated to our Support team.


Minimize the Chat Widget

The chat widget can be minimized at any time by selecting this icon

  • Minimizing the widget does not remove your conversation history. When reopened, your messages should still be available.


Need More Help?

If the chat widget does not appear right away, allow a few seconds for it to load.

If it still does not open, try refreshing the page or checking whether a browser extension, such as an ad blocker or script blocker, is preventing it from loading.
