How Brand Matching Works
AIQ Ecommerce matches brands using the brand name provided by your POS.
Exact matches are required
AIQ maintains aliases to support common variations or misspellings
When a match is found, brand information (logo, name, description) is displayed on:
Product detail pages
Brand pages
Missing Product Images
AIQ Ecommerce will default any missing product images to the brand's category image, and if there isn't one, then will default to the brand logo.
Example:
If a product is synced from the POS where
Brand = "Ozone", logo exists in the database
Category = "Edible", category image exists in the database
AIQ Ecommerce will default it to the category image.
If a product is synced from the POS where
Brand = "Ozone", logo exists in the database
Category = "Edible", category image does NOT exist in the database
AIQ Ecommerce will default it to the brand logo.
If both logo and category image are missing, no image defaulting will happen.
Not Seeing a Brand on Your Menu?
ℹ️ Note: We do not have every brand in the database, but are always working on adding more! Additionally, you can create your own brand in your Organization Brand Database.
FAQs
Can I change the brand description on the brand page?
Yes! You can now change any of our default brand details using the Organization Brand Database. With this, you control all of the content your customers see on your menu.
