If you are having issues with the autoprint feature, follow this troubleshooting guide. Please ensure you are using either mC-Print 2 or 3.
Firmware Update
Make sure your printer is up to date with the latest firmware for CloudPRNT to work.
Follow the steps on the Star Print Firmware Guide.
Confirm Network Connection
Ensure Auto Print is enabled. Navigate to Store > Settings > Printer, select the printer, and enable Auto Print.
Ensure you are receiving a solid blue (Power) and solid green (Ethernet) light. If either light is flashing, there may be a network connection issue.
If you see flashing connectivity lights, power the printer off. Press and hold the feed button, then turn the printer back on while still holding the button. Continue holding until it starts printing β the last printed line will show your IP address.
If the IP address prints as 0.0.0.0, the printer is not connected to the network. Make sure your printer is connected to the same network used during setup.
Reset Printer
If your firmware is up to date and the printer is connected to the network but issues persist, attempt a printer reset.
Follow the steps on the Star Print Reset Printer Guide.
Printer Has a Delayed Print Time
Check the CloudPRNT settings. Some printers have a delay (e.g. 120 seconds) configured in the settings.
Polling time should be set to 5 second intervals.
Blank Receipts
If the printer is printing blank receipts, check that the printer has paper. The paper feeds underneath the roll, not over the top.
Inspect the paper feed port for debris or blocking objects.
Hold the feed button for 3 seconds to confirm the paper feeder is functioning.
