Brand Analytics: Orders

The Orders tab provides transactional insights from AIQ retailers selling your products, helping you measure brand performance by revenue and order volume. Compare time periods and drill down by day of week or individual products.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, ensure you have:

Required Permissions

Brand Analytics are accessible for users with the following permissions:

  • Analyst

  • Marketing

  • Marketing + Analyst

  • Operator

  • Owner

Other Requirements

  • Brand Analytics Starter subscription or above


How to Access the Orders Report

Navigate to the Orders Tab

  1. Navigate to Brand Analytics > Orders

  2. Select your desired report date range

  3. Review the default report view


Report Period Breakdown

The Report Period Breakdown displays order performance over time using a bar chart and key summary metrics. This view helps you track revenue trends, order volume, and customer behavior patterns across your selected date range.

Adjust Chart Granularity

Use the toggle in the top right of the chart to change how data is grouped:

  • Daily – Individual day performance

  • Weekly – Aggregated by week

  • Monthly – Grouped by month

  • Yearly – Annual totals

You can also toggle between:

  • Revenue ($)

  • Order #

⚠️ Note: These toggles affect the chart visualization only. Summary metrics below the chart remain unchanged.


Key Metrics Explained

Below the chart, you’ll see:

  • Total Revenue – Total brand revenue generated during the selected period

  • Total Orders – Total number of brand-related orders

  • AOV (Average Order Value) – Total revenue divided by total orders

  • Avg Cart Items – Average number of products per transaction (also called average basket size or cart size)

  • Avg Days Til Customer Returns – Average number of days between customer purchases


Top Performing

The Top Performing section includes two primary tables.


Performance by Type

Toggle between four views, each sortable by brand and category::

  • Product – All products, sortable by brand and category filters

  • Categories – Category-level performance

  • Brand – Full brand list with filtering

  • Payment – Payment types (online, cash, debit, etc.)

Data defaults to Revenue (highest to lowest) sorting.


Performance by Time Period

View performance grouped by:

  • Month – Chronological (January–December)

  • Day – Sunday–Saturday

  • Hour – Hour of day

Data defaults to chronological sorting.


Top Performing – Products

The Products table includes additional inventory-related columns:

  • Units Sold – Total quantity sold during the selected period

  • Units Remaining – Current inventory on hand

  • Days of Stock – Estimated days until stock is depleted based on sales velocity

  • Inventory Cost – Total wholesale cost of current inventory

  • Inventory Retail Value – Total retail value of current inventory

  • SKU – Stock Keeping Unit identifier

These metrics help brands monitor both sales performance and inventory health across retailers.


Detailed Breakdown (Side Drawer View)

Clicking any row in Top Performing by Type opens a detailed breakdown drawer.

Each breakdown may include:

Orders Overview

  • Revenue – Total brand sales

  • % of Total Revenue – Share of retailer’s overall revenue

  • Total Orders – Number of brand-related orders

  • Units Sold – Total units sold


Revenue & Orders Breakdown

View performance by selected time grouping (month, day, or hour).


Category-Specific Breakdowns

When viewing a Category, two additional sections appear:

Sub-Category Breakdown

Displays performance by sub-category within the selected category.

Top Brands in Category

Breaks down revenue and orders by brand within that category.
