Getting Started with AIQ Analytics

AIQ Analytics allows you to:

  • Analyze customer performance, loyalty member behavior, and lifecycle trends across audience segments

  • Evaluate product, category, and brand trends

  • Compare data trends over time periods

Before Using AIQ Data Analytics

Keep the following in mind:

  • Analytics improves as more data is collected and processed

  • New implementations may need time to generate

  • Use analytics to inform audience segmentation and campaign targeting

Data Analytics Tabs

  • Orders: transactional insights (order, revenue, SKU-level performance)

  • Lifecycle: understand how you're acquiring and retaining customers over time

  • Loyalty: understand how loyalty members are purchasing and interacting with your stores overtime

  • Demographics: analyze your customer base by age, gender, and region

How to Run an AIQ Data Analytics Report

  1. In the left-hand navigation, click Analytics

  2. Select a date range in the Report filter

    • This defaults to analyzing the "Month to date"

    • You can select a past date range in the Compare filter to generate a comparison view

  3. Select an audience in the Audiences filter

    • By default, this will analyze all audiences. Leave this as is for a high-level analysis of all audiences

    • Or select any saved audience

  4. Click Apply

⚠️ If you change the audience or date range, click Apply again to refresh the report.

How to Share a Data Analytics Report

  1. Navigate to Analytics

  2. Set your desired report using the filters and Apply any changes

  3. Click the Share button in the top right corner

  2. Scroll to the table you want to download (e.g. Report Period Breakdown)

  3. Click on the (•••) menu in the top right of the section

The downloaded CSV reflects your current filter selections (date range, comparisons, products, etc.).

How to Compare Time Periods

To compare performance trends:

  1. Select your current time period in the Report filter

  2. Select a comparison period in the Compare filter (these should be past dates)

  3. Click Apply

  4. Review updated charts and tables

Visual Indicators:

  • Past period data appears shaded in charts

  • (Past) appears in table labels

  • A % Change column shows performance differences

Filters

  • Saved Filters: Access and apply previously saved filter configurations. See below for instructions on saving a filter.

  • Report: Select the date range for your data analysis

  • Compare: Compare performance across different time periods to identify trends and changes. Select a comparison period to view metrics with your primary reporting period (e.g. this month vs last month)

How to Save a Filter

Save frequently used filter combinations to quickly access them later. Saved filters carry across all tabs where applicable.

Best Practices

  • Start broad (all audiences), then narrow into specific audiences

  • Use date comparisons to identify growth trends

  • Regularly revisit reports as new data accumulates

FAQs

Why can't I sort all rows in some tables?

For performance reasons, column sorting in large analytics tables is limited to a specific number of rows rather than the full dataset. Tables with hundreds of thousands of rows would load too slowly if sorted in their entirety. To access and sort the complete data, download the associated CSV file.

Where is the Predictive Analytics and Staff Insights tab?

These have been deprecated as of March 2026.

Where is the Actions & Conversions tab?

All conversion data has moved to reporting. The tab itself has been deprecated as of March 2026.
