Unsupported Trait Types in AI Audience Generator V1 (Released 04/2024)
The following traits must be added manually and are not supported by AI generation:
Custom attributes
Pixel traits
Survey question traits
Prerequisites

Audiences are available to users with the following permissions:
Analyst
Marketing
Marketing Analyst
Operator
Owner
Audience limits by plan
All plans include 10 pre-made audiences. In addition, each plan supports the following number of custom audiences:
Starter: up to 10
Pro: up to 500
Enterprise: up to 1,500
How to Use the AI Audience Generator
Step 1: Create a New Audience
Navigate to Audiences in the AIQ Dash.
Click Create New Audience.
In the audience builder, click Define with AIQ
Step 2: Enter Your Text Prompt
In the Describe your audience text box, enter a plain-language description of who you want to include.
Example: “Customers who purchased vape products more than twice in the last 90 days.”
Click Generate
Step 3: Generate Audience Traits
After clicking Generate, the system will process your prompt.
When complete, the recommended traits will appear in the Traits section.
Step 4: Review and Adjust the Generated Traits
You have two options:
Option A: Accept the generated traits
Click Accept generated results to apply all recommended traits to your audience.
Once accepted, traits become editable just like any manually added trait.
Option B: Regenerate traits
Update your text prompt to refine or change the audience criteria.
Click Regenerate again to generate a new set of traits.
Step 5: Manually Edit or Add Traits (Optional)
Even after using AI, you can:
Add new traits
Remove traits
Modify values or conditions
Use this step if your audience requires more detail than what AI produced.
Step 6: Save the Audience
When you're satisfied with the traits, click Create Audience.
The audience will now be available for use in campaigns, analytics, and loyalty workflows.
