AI Onboarding

Get your AIQ account set up faster and easier. Astro AI pre-builds your AIQ account setup for you using your existing brand info — no starting from a blank slate.

Eleven steps from signed to running.

AI Onboarding takes your account from welcome email to a working platform. Astro pre-builds every item from your existing brand info, so you are reviewing and approving rather than starting from a blank slate. A persistent progress bar shows what is complete and what still needs your attention. Skip steps and return anytime.

For an overview of the full suite, see Meet Astro.

Heads up: this checklist is built using the website URL you gave AIQ when you signed up — so it's worth double-checking that everything's accurate before you approve.

Prerequisites

Before getting started, ensure you have:

  • Your legal entity information on hand (for 10DLC telecom registration — see below), including your EIN (tax ID). Astro cannot look this up for you.

How to access AI Onboarding

  1. Net new accounts will see their onboarding checklist when they first login to their AIQ Dashboard. This appears on the top of your dashboard page. Click this link to begin your setup.

  2. You'll land on your onboarding checklist, auto-generated from your branding and account rules

  3. A progress bar at the top shows how many of the 11 tasks are finalized

  4. Filter the list using the All / Ready to review / Needs you / Completed tabs

How the checklist works

Each item in the list represents one task Astro AI already completed in the background. For each item you can:

  • Approve — lock in Astro AI's result as-is

  • Change — open the item's editor to review or tweak details before approving

  • Unfinalize — reopen an already-approved item if you need to make changes later

  • Complete details — for items missing required info (flagged Needs you), fill in the missing field(s) before you can approve

Regenerate all: If you don't want to use any of the auto-generated setup, click Regenerate all to have Astro AI redo every item from scratch.

One more thing to keep in mind: once you approve a checklist item, it's a one-time snapshot. If you later go update that same setting elsewhere in AIQ (like your brand colors or a store's info), the change won't sync back to this checklist — the two aren't linked after the fact and any future changes will need to be done manually or by our support team.

Checklist items

1. Retail stores imported

Maps discovered storefronts to your AIQ retail settings. If a store is missing required info, it's flagged so you can edit it before approving.

2. Brand assets lifted

Pulls your logo and color palette, then rehosts the images to your AIQ media library.

3. Brand-safe texting logo created

Generates a carrier-approved, RCS-ready version of your logo — non-compliant imagery is automatically stripped and recolored to meet carrier requirements.

4. Mobile app branding generated

Builds your splash screen and theme, all derived from your brand settings.

5. Default brand cover image generated

Creates a reusable cover image applied by default to signup forms, wallet passes, order emails, and review widgets.

6. 10DLC telecom registration submitted

Pre-fills and queues your entity, use-case, and sample messages with The Campaign Registry (the body that registers businesses for text messaging with telecom carriers).

Before approving:

  • Astro AI pre-fills every field it can from your account. Review each field for accuracy before submitting.

  • Your Entity EIN number must be entered manually — Astro AI cannot look this up.

Business entity information required:

  • Safe Brand Name

  • Entity (legal brand name)

  • Entity type

  • Entity EIN number

  • Company Name (DBA)

  • Phone number

  • Website

Business contact information required:

  • Street address

  • Country entity is registered in

  • City / State / Zip

Important notes on 10DLC registration:

  • Registering tells carriers who you are, how you obtained customer opt-ins, and how you intend to message them — it also lets carriers score and restrict your entity if you send unauthorized content. Violations can get your entity blocked.

  • You cannot re-register a previously banned entity, even if the ban happened on a different platform before you became an AIQ customer.

  • All submitted information must match your legal entity's name and branding exactly.

  • Texting MMS media may not contain illegal content, images, or keywords.

  • Registered customers are automatically provisioned with 49 phone numbers.

  • Cannabis operators: You may register for cannabis-specific 10DLC messaging. AIQ has an approved, age-gated message delivery flow built for this.

7. Default signup form created

Builds a default signup form collecting email, phone, signature, and first name, with double opt-in disabled per your account settings.

8. Sending domain configured

Generates the DNS records needed for your sending domain, ready for you to publish. Configuration walks through three steps: Domain → DNS → Sender. Advanced options include Sub Domain, IPs, Custom SPF, and Custom DKIM.

9. Email + SMS flows drafted

Creates starter flows (in Draft status) for: Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Win-back, Birthday, NPS, and Tier-up.

10. Social links connected

Discovers your social and review platform handles and applies them to your default review widget template. Fields use platform slugs/usernames, not full URLs.

Supported platforms:

  • Instagram, Facebook (Username + Page ID), X/Twitter, Bluesky

  • Yelp, Leafly, WeedMaps, Delivery, Tattle

  • Google Play Store URL, Apple App Store URL

11. Loyalty program initialized

Sets up default loyalty tiers with a discount schedule and themed tier names, ready to edit or approve.

When you're done

Completing all checklist items ensures you can use all of AIQ without guesswork. Once finished, add your team members and you're ready to start generating ROI. All of these settings can be customized further at any time after onboarding.

FAQ's

I completed my Astro Onboarding and want to make an edit, however I can't access the page.

This is actually by design. Once you complete the Astro guided onboarding experience, the page will be removed from your dashboard. Moving forward, edits should be made in your account settings. If you wish to regenerate specific/all assets, reach out to support,
