I use both Aeropay and Treez, how is this different?
AIQ Ecom, Treez POS and Aeropay have teamed up to launch our three way integration. This allows AIQ to perform the intial preauthoization for a purchase and pass this along to Treez. This allows Treez to send the final capture request to Aeropay with the final total. To set this up, ensure you let your reps at Aeropay and Treez know that you will be using the three way integration.
For this to work correctly, you must leave all of the capture options disabled in AIQ as this part will be handled by Treez
Navigate to Integrations > Aeropay
Fill out Merchant Id and Location Id
Disable "Capture when orders are closed"
Disable "Capture payment"

FAQs
What is payment authorization vs capture: why would I toggle on "Capture when orders are closed"?
Authorization (Auth) checks if the customer has enough funds.
Capture actually moves the money from the customer to the retailer.
This setting lets retailers choose when the capture happens:
Capture immediately (toggle OFF): Authorization and capture happen back-to-back. As soon as the order is placed, we authorize the payment and immediately capture the funds.
Capture later (toggle ON): Authorization still happens when the order is placed, but capture is delayed until the order is closed out in our system.
Why capture later? Capturing later is recommended because if the order needs to be modified (e.g. canceled, refunded, or adjusted) it’s much easier to handle before the funds have actually been taken.
How does checkout work for customers?
During checkout, we'll automatically detect if the user already has an Aeropay account. If they do have one authorized for your location, we will default the payment to their primary bank account, making prepayment fast and frictionless.
If a customer already has an Aeropay account but hasn’t yet shopped at your store, our improved UX ensures a secure and smooth onboarding process. When they reach checkout, they’ll be prompted to verify their identity with a 6-digit MFA code sent via email. Once verified, their Aeropay user ID will be securely linked to their customer profile at your organization, ensuring a fast, consistent checkout experience moving forward.
