Offer Syncing from Cova POS

Offer syncing from Cova is in beta. AIQ Ecom can pull promotions configured in Cova Hub into Offers

Background

Turn on offer syncing per store. One Cova promotion becomes one AIQ offer. Sync each store on its own, including recreational and medical sister stores. Each sync adds that store and its matching products to the same offer.

In our November 3, 2026 release

Configure Integration

Go to Store > Integrations > Cova.

Sync Offers (pull from POS): Pulls Cova promotions into AIQ as offers. Leave this off and nothing is pulled.

Auto-enable synced Offers (pull from POS): Off by default. Off means new offers arrive disabled, stay off the menu, and a later sync does not turn them on. You enable them under Menu > Offers. On means offers arrive enabled. An offer whose start is still more than 2 hours away stays disabled until a sync runs inside that 2-hour window. The menu still waits until the offer is inside its schedule.

Sync Discounts: Sends the discounted line price to Cova when an order is pushed. This covers every discount on the order, including offers you create in AIQ. With it off, checkout can still show the discount, and Cova receives full price.

⚠️ Warning: In Cova Hub, turn on Remove Integrator Discounts from Orders so an edited order is not discounted twice.

ℹ️ Note: Cova’s order API has no offer field. Each line is sent as LineDollarAmount, the discounted total for that line. Cova treats the difference from full price as a line discount. The offer name and the Cova promotion are not sent.

How Cova Promotions Map

Create the promotion in Cova Hub and publish it. A customer has to meet every product set on the promotion.

Product Discount

In Cova

In AIQ

Set Percent Off for a group of products

Sale. That percent comes off each qualifying item.

Set Dollar Amount Off for a group of products

Sale. That dollar amount comes off each qualifying item.

BOGO

The discount applies to the cheapest qualifying item once the buy quantity is met.

In Cova

In AIQ

Percent off the cheapest item

BOGO. That percent comes off the discounted item.

Dollar amount off the cheapest item

BOGO. That dollar amount comes off the discounted item.

Set a price for the cheapest item

BOGO. The discounted item is sold at that price. $0 means free. An item that already costs less is not discounted.

You can also require one group of products, then discount the cheapest item from a second group. The reward is still percent off, a dollar amount off, or a set price.

Bundle

Each product set is one required item. The customer buys every set to get the bundle.

In Cova

In AIQ

Set a price for a group of bundled products

Flat deal. The bundle sells for that total.

Set Dollar Amount Off for a group of bundled products

Flat deal. That amount comes off the bundle total.

Set a Percent Off for a group of bundled products

BOGO. That percent comes off each required product set.

Products Sold by Weight

Cova marks weight-based products as Mass and each-based products as SingleUnit. Loose, gram-based products are Mass.

Offer

Includes Mass products?

Bundle

No

BOGO

No

Dollar-off sale

No

Percent-off sale

Yes

If a required group still matches at least one each-based product, the offer syncs and the Mass products are left off it. If a required group matches only Mass products, the promotion is skipped and the next sync removes the offer. Enable equivalency in Cova does not change this.

What Comes Over

  • The promotion name, used as both the shopper-facing name and the internal name.

  • The offer type, reward, and the matching products at each store you sync.

  • The stores where the promotion is enabled.

  • A recreational-only promotion goes to the recreational store. A medical-only promotion goes to the medical store.

  • The schedule. Start date, end date, days of the week, and the daily time window use the store’s local time.

  • On BOGO and bundle deals, Cova’s maximum number of applications becomes the offer’s stacking limit.

These do not come over:

  • Descriptions, images, and promo codes.

  • A per-customer redemption limit.

  • A promotion limited to a customer pricing group.

  • Cova’s maximum applications on a percent-off or dollar-off sale.

  • The offer name, when the order is sent back to Cova.

  • Mass products on bundles, BOGOs, and dollar-off sales.

Scheduling

The offer keeps the Cova start date, end date, days, and daily hours. While it is enabled, the menu shows the discount only inside that window.

Outside the daily hours, the offer stays enabled. The discount hides and shows again when the window opens, without another sync. The offer turns off only after Cova deactivates or removes the promotion and a sync runs.

More Than One Store

Sync every store that should carry the promotion, including recreational and medical sister stores. Syncing one store does not add or remove the other.

A promotion enabled at only some Cova locations includes only those stores. Products stay on the store they belong to.

Editing the reward or the products in Cova updates the same offer. Products that no longer qualify lose the discount. Products at your other stores stay on the offer.

Removed Promotions

Synced offers move to the archive page when they stop coming back from Cova. That includes a promotion you deactivate, delete, or let expire, and a promotion that no longer matches any eligible products. Open the (...) menu on the offers page to view archived offers.

How Soon a Change Shows Up

Cova asks that promotions be fetched sparingly, so a change can take up to an hour. Sync POS found on Menu > Offers in AIQ Ecom pulls the latest promotions right away.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Offers are not syncing

Resolution: Check that the following are configured correctly:

  • Sync Offers is on for that store, and you have run a sync since publishing the promotion.

  • The promotion type is one of the types above.

  • The promotion is not limited to a customer pricing group.

  • A bundle, BOGO, or dollar-off sale is not made up only of weight-based products.

  • The offer is enabled. With Auto-enable off, you turn it on under Menu > Offers.

  • The store is inside the promotion’s dates and daily hours. Outside those hours the offer can stay enabled while the menu shows full price.

  • Sync Discounts is on if the discounted price should reach Cova. Sync Offers alone does not change the price Cova receives.
