How to Connect AIQ to Trident1

Review our Integration Grid for supported features.

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Integrations

  2. Search for Trident1 integration and click 'Connect'

  3. Add credentials for your website, your Trident1 API Key and Store Name, and click 'Add Credential' to save.

  4. For website, leave off https\:// (eg. aiq.com)

  5. Optionally enable Marketing to send SMS double opt-ins to personas who purchased after a specified date. If enabled, it will take 24 hours to trigger the first double opt-in message.

  6. Optionally automatically enroll personas in loyalty who purchased after a sepcific date. Newly enrolled personas will earn points for sales going forward.

  7. Enable 'All users are age compliant with my industry' setting

  8. Finally, hit 'Update connection' to save integration.

How to Add a Retail Location

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Company Account -> Retail Store

  2. Click 'New Store' to create a new location

  3. Add Name, Nickname (optional), Store phone number, store email address and, if applicable, venue ID.

  4. Venue ID is used for AIQ Ecommerce setups.

  5. Leave Shop Page & Custom URLs blank unless you have an AIQ-powered app.

  6. Add Store Address fields.

  7. Optionally, complete any Advanced Settings

  8. Optionally enter a domain to send emails from if multiple domains are configured.

  9. Optionally add a Disclaimer to be shown in campaigns when using the \{\{favStoreDisclaimer}} macro.

  10. Optionally allow customers to sign-up via text message for this store.

  11. Optionally disable form selection. If enabled, this setting will hide this store from favorite store selection in sign-up forms, web-based wallets, and your app.

  12. Once all applicable fields are filled in, click 'Create' in the top right to create your store.

How to Map a Retail Location

  1. In the Retail Stores table, select the edit button (pencil icon) for the location you'd like to map. This will open the Edit Retail Store drawer.

  2. Select the 'Store Mappings' tab.

  3. In the Trident1 Source field, open the dropdown to see all mapping options available. Select the appropriate location. This will assign data from this POS instance to the associated retail store inside AIQ.

  4. Click Save in the top right corner and you are done mapping the store. Keep in mind this must be repeated for any additional stores that you add to the account.

Setting Up Discounts

  1. Create a discount inside Trident1.

  2. In-store only coupons are not currently supported in AIQ.

  3. Mirror the discount in AIQ by navigating to Marketing -> Discounts and set up a new discount.

  4. Repeat for additional discounts

Redeeming Discounts

Checkout associate will need to manually apply the discount and redeem the discount from the persona's web wallet, or can have the customer redeem from the web wallet once discount has been applied.

  1. Navigate to Customers > Personas, and find the desired customer.

  2. Click the Discounts & Redemptions tab.

  3. Select the available discount and click Redeem on behalf of the customer.

  4. In the POS apply the matching discount to the transaction.

  5. Complete the transaction: The transaction is completed with discount applied, and the loyalty redemption is logged under the customer's persona through AIQ.

How long does it take before I start to see my POS data in AIQ?

Within 24 hours you should see data populating in AIQ

How can I confirm that the integration is active and signups are being sent?

Look under your Personas page in AIQ. The integration is functioning properly if you see "Trident 1" under the Sourced from column

If a transaction is refunded, do loyalty points used on the purchase get automatically refunded?

This functionality is controlled by Trident 1 POS. At this time, they do not support this and point refunds must be completed in AIQ.
