Prerequisites
Before beginning, ensure you have:
A domain-based email address (e.g., [email protected])
Apple and Google require the email used for enrollment to match your domain
If you do not have one, your web administrator must create it
Legal business documentation
Licensing documentation (if operating in regulated markets)
Step 1: Obtain Your D-U-N-S Number
To get your Apple or Google Developer licenses, you will first need a DUNS number.
What is a D-U-N-S Number?

How to Get One
Review Apple’s documentation on D-U-N-S numbers
Submit a request if you do not already have one
Await verification (typically 48–72 hours)
Dun & Bradstreet may call to verify your organization before issuing the number.
Setting Up Apple Developer (iOS)
Step 1: Enroll in Apple Developer Program
Sign up for an Apple developer account at the site here
Sign up using your domain-based email
Pay the annual $99/year fee
Important: Verification Call
Apple will call you (usually within 24 hours).
You must answer the call at the number listed in your application.
After verification, Apple will send payment instructions to complete enrollment.
Legal Requirements for Regulated Industries
To be approved, you must provide proof that you can legally sell regulated products in your markets.
Apple may request:
State or local licensing numbers
PDF documentation showing regulatory compliance
⚠️ Important:
If your developer account is registered under a holding company name (e.g., “My Holding Company LLC”) that differs from your app name, Apple will require proof that the holding company legally owns the operating entity.
Step 2: Add Alpine IQ to Your Apple Account
Once your Apple Developer account is active:
Log in to App Store Connect
Navigate to:
https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/access/usersClick Add User
Invite:
[email protected]Assign the Admin role
Enable all permission checkboxes
This grants Alpine IQ full access required to build and deploy your app.
Setting Up Google Play Developer (Android)
Step 1: Create Google Play Developer Account
Sign up using your domain-based email
Pay the one-time $25 registration fee
Step 2: Verify Identity
Upon first login, you will be prompted to complete identity verification.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification.
Step 3: Set Account Type
Navigate to Account Details (left navigation)
Click Choose Account Type
Select Organizational Account
Complete the required business information
Step 4: Add Alpine IQ to Google Account
Navigate to Users and Permissions (left navigation)
Click the three vertical dots (⋮)
Select Invite New Users
Invite:
[email protected]Under Account Permissions, select:
Admin (All Permissions)
Save changes.
