Developer Account Setup

To deploy your AIQ Mobile App to the App Store and Google Play, you must create and maintain your own Apple and Google Developer accounts.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Prerequisites

Before beginning, ensure you have:

  • A domain-based email address (e.g., [email protected])

    • Apple and Google require the email used for enrollment to match your domain

    • If you do not have one, your web administrator must create it

  • Legal business documentation

  • Licensing documentation (if operating in regulated markets)

Step 1: Obtain Your D-U-N-S Number

To get your Apple or Google Developer licenses, you will first need a DUNS number.

What is a D-U-N-S Number?

A D-U-N-S number is a unique business identifier. For more info on D-U-N-S numbers and how to request one, check out Apple's in-depth article on D-U-N-S numbers.

How to Get One

  1. Review Apple’s documentation on D-U-N-S numbers

  2. Submit a request if you do not already have one

  3. Await verification (typically 48–72 hours)

Dun & Bradstreet may call to verify your organization before issuing the number.

Setting Up Apple Developer (iOS)

Step 1: Enroll in Apple Developer Program

  1. Sign up for an Apple developer account at the site here

  2. Sign up using your domain-based email

  3. Pay the annual $99/year fee

Important: Verification Call

Apple will call you (usually within 24 hours).
You must answer the call at the number listed in your application.

After verification, Apple will send payment instructions to complete enrollment.

Legal Requirements for Regulated Industries

To be approved, you must provide proof that you can legally sell regulated products in your markets.

Apple may request:

  • State or local licensing numbers

  • PDF documentation showing regulatory compliance

⚠️ Important:
If your developer account is registered under a holding company name (e.g., “My Holding Company LLC”) that differs from your app name, Apple will require proof that the holding company legally owns the operating entity.

Step 2: Add Alpine IQ to Your Apple Account

Once your Apple Developer account is active:

  1. Log in to App Store Connect

  2. Click Add User

  3. Assign the Admin role

  4. Enable all permission checkboxes

This grants Alpine IQ full access required to build and deploy your app.

Setting Up Google Play Developer (Android)

Step 1: Create Google Play Developer Account

  1. Sign up using your domain-based email

  2. Pay the one-time $25 registration fee

Step 2: Verify Identity

Upon first login, you will be prompted to complete identity verification.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete verification.

Step 3: Set Account Type

  1. Navigate to Account Details (left navigation)

  2. Click Choose Account Type

  3. Select Organizational Account

  4. Complete the required business information

Step 4: Add Alpine IQ to Google Account

  1. Navigate to Users and Permissions (left navigation)

  2. Click the three vertical dots (⋮)

  3. Select Invite New Users

  4. Under Account Permissions, select:
    Admin (All Permissions)

Save changes.
