Archived Personas

Archiving a persona allows you to remove a customer from point accrual and prevent them from being re-imported. This section explains how to view archived personas, archive or unarchive them, and understand the difference between AIQ’s archival systems.

Required Permissions:

Archived personas are available to users with the following permissions:

  • Staff

  • Manager

  • Analyst

  • Marketing

  • Marketing Analyst

  • Operator

  • Owner


How to View Archived Personas

  1. Navigate to Customers > Personas

  2. Click the more (...) menu

  3. Click "View Archived Personas"


How to Archive a Persona

Archived Personas won’t accrue points and are excluded from being re-imported via integrations, effectively functioning as a blocklist within your AIQ ecosystem.

  1. Navigate to Customers > Personas

  2. Search for the persona

  3. Click on the row to open that persona

  4. Click the (...) more menu next to the persona name

  5. Click Archive, then confirm.


How to Unarchive a Persona

If a persona is unarchived, they will gain the points and history they would have earned retroactively and will accrue points moving forward.

  1. Navigate to Customers > Personas

  2. Click the more (...) menu

  3. Click "View Archived Personas"

  4. In the row for that persona, click "Unarchive"


Types of Archival in AIQ

AIQ uses two independent archival systems, which determine how and where a customer can be found.

1. Archived Personas (Visible in Your Account)

  • These appear in Customers > Personas > more (…) > View Archived Personas

  • These customers were archived by your team

  • They can be unarchived directly in the dashboard

2. Internal Archive List (Admin-Only)

  • This is an AIQ backend-only list and is not visible in your dashboard

  • Customers land here due to privacy-related actions, such as account deletions

  • These records cannot be restored or searched without going through the official recovery process

Why a Customer May Not Appear in Search

If you cannot locate a customer in Customers > Personas, it may be because:

  • They were placed in the Internal Archive List

  • They are being filtered out due to the Data Privacy Filter

In these cases, the customer must follow AIQ’s recovery protocol.


Steps to Restore Customers from the Internal Archive List


Archive Visibility & Limitations

  • The Internal Archive List is not visible to your team. All updates are processed by AIQ administrators only.

  • Archived Personas, however, are fully visible and manageable inside the dashboard.
