How to Connect AIQ to Pluggi

API Key

First, you need to generate an API key and provide this to Pluggi. For Pluggi, AIQ Ecommerce recommends not setting an expiration date on your API key to ensure services are continuous. Send the API key to your point of contact at Pluggi.

Kiosks: If you would like to add Pluggi to your kiosk menus, you need to use Google Tag Manager to install this integration. Head Code is not injected to kiosk menus but our Google Tag Manager integration is.

Installation using Head Code

This method is the quickest and easiest method of installing Pluggi to your menu, however it has limitations with kiosks as we do not inject head code into our kiosk menus.

  1. Go to your branding settings to update your Head Code for your menu

  2. Add the Pluggi script to the head code code block.

Once you have uploaded the script to your AIQ Ecommerce menu head code, you will then need to reach out to Pluggi support to get them to activate the chat bot.

Send an email to [email protected] and include your menu and homepage URL. If you have the chat bot installed on more than one page, you will need to provide them with the URL for each page you installed the Pluggi script on. Once the chat bot is activated, you will see the widget on your AIQ Ecommerce menu!

Installation using Google Tag Manager

If installing the Pluggi script in the head code is not possible due to your setup, don't worry, Pluggi's got you covered using Google Tag Manager!

  1. Ensure your menu has the Google Tag Manager integrated and enabled!

  2. Navigate to tags > New

  3. Give your tag a name, something simple like Pluggi Chat works just fine!

  4. Edit Tag Configuration > Custom HTML

  5. Copy and paste the script from Method 2 in your Pluggi install doc

  1. Add a Trigger > Page View > All Pages

  2. Save

  1. Publish your changes by hitting Submit

Once this is live on your menu, you will then need to reach out to Pluggi support to get them to activate the chat bot.
